I am currently a senior at Carlmont High School where I am enrolled in a Biotechnology Institute. It is a three-cross-curricular program offering science-themed English and social studies classes along with courses in biotechnology. I have an interest in biotech and science due to the many ways in which these fields are meant to better people. Whether it is medical or diagnostic the goal is always to improve the health of the world.
I’ve always had a passion for helping others to better themselves and, as an ambassador, I am very excited to help spread the program of Tutoring Is Us to students of all kinds. Whether they are struggling, or looking to get ahead, I know that this tutoring program can not only get them where they need to go, but do so whilst sparking great understanding and passion among their students.
I'm all about efficiency and practicality. I'm a triple major from Berkeley with a background in Mathematics. I'm personable and easy to get along with. I love to think, read and write. My teaching style involves a mix of intentionality, focus and reflection. I encourage my students to think through situations, double check their work and use evidence or reasoning to support their answers. English Grammar is my favorite topic to teach. My role as a director of tutoring is scouting for the best talent in the market. At tutoringisus our focus is on quality. Our tutors are trained to carry the vision, the methodologies and the professionalism, making sure we are delivering the same quality of service to all of our students.
I’m currently in college working toward an elementary education degree. I have always had a passion to pursue a career in which I can work with kids. They have the best hearts and a thirst to learn. For the last year and a half I have been working as a behavior therapist for kids with Autism Spectrum Disorder. I absolutely loved this job and got to work intimately with so many bright young minds. It’s amazing to see the growth that happens when both the student and I work together to learn. While I finish out my degree, I would love to help your student achieve the most they can in their education: whether that be with homework, college admissions, or advice, I am happy and excited to start
that journey with them.
Bryan graduated from UC San Diego with a BS in Environmental Engineering, and before that graduated from Carlmont High School. He now lives in San Diego, working as a Sales Engineer for an electric motor company, specializing in air moving and refrigeration. In college, his courses included a well rounded mix of Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, and he thinks of himself as a jack of all trades. Bryan's experience in teaching others includes years of coaching volleyball and basketball along with tutoring peers while in high school. He believes it is the tutor's job to teach the student the right way to learn and not just to arrive at the right answer. To ensure that the student understands the reasoning, will help the student long after the class ends.
My name is Amel Gadrboh, I have an M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering from TU Clausthal, Germany. Mathematics, Physics, and Economics have always been my favorite courses to study. Around a year ago I joined Tutoringisus where I tutored Statics, Physics, Chemistry, and Economics. Although I work as a full-time reservoir engineer in an Oil and Gas company, I have always been enthusiastic about teaching and helping students achieve their academic successes. When tutoring I ensure to encourage students and reinforce confidence in their abilities.
I am Patrick Carlos, and before I joined tutoringisus I was a tutte myself.
As I progressed through my education I found that more than learning I have a clear passion for teaching. I love teaching students math and science and I find that there is nothing more enjoyable than helping kids who struggle with math ease into what at first may seem like a very daunting subject by breaking it down into more understandable parts. In my spare time I enjoy building model kits and practicing bass guitar, as well as working on several novel ideas or engrossing myself in a good book.
